Meet Liam & Amy
Cooper&Smith started as the plant passion project of newlyweds Liam Cooper and Amy Smith. A musician and a makeup artist, both with a love of plants.
Having moved from the beach-side city of Wollongong, the extraordinary cost of renting our tiny Sydney apartment left little room in the budget for buying new plants.
Well, buying new plants as often as we wanted to. You know the feeling.
It was at this point we were introduced to plant propagation, the art of propagating plant cuttings in water. We were hooked, and our plant collection exploded.

Starting Small
Our apartment became littered with glass jars of all shapes and sizes filled with water and plant cuttings. Jars that were once home to pasta sauce, pickled vegetables and other foodstuffs all became make-shift propagation stations.
We launched an online store with our own curated collection of pots, hangers, air plant frames and of course, propagation stations. We worked with suppliers around the world to bring you some really beautiful products.
Today, we handcraft our propagation stations back in our hometown of Wollongong using stunning natural timbers, hand-stamped with the signature Cooper&Smith double-leaf brand and finished with a natural Australian beeswax polish.
We can’t wait for you to get started with plant propagation and have our gorgeous handcrafted propagation stations make themselves at home in your space.
Favourite moments
We have so much fun building our plant collection, finding beautiful new products and travelling the world discovering plants in other cultures and environments.
